Normally, coil springs are cylindrical in shape, but conical springs are made by wrapping the material in a conical shape as the name suggests. The bend of the body, and depending on the shape, the height of close contact can also be reduced. Typically, these are commonly used for such purposes as contacts for dry-cell batteries or in remote controllers.
